With the first fatality behind us, both sides become more cautious. Rather than charging forward, my German squad uses the available scrub and terrain to advance carefully, improving its position while avoiding unnecessary risks. Although there are no further casualties this impulse, the tension never disappears. One well-aimed shot from Soldat Theil comes agonisingly close to claiming another Soviet soldier, while the enemy begins to show signs of becoming increasingly cautious. Behind the scenes, Lt. Ahle proves his worth. His planning earns the squad four additional Command Cards for Turn 3, providing valuable tactical options as the battle develops.
