Empire Under Siege Campaign: Game 1: Chaos vs Empire Back when my son, Kieran, was born I was running a successful WFB League. We were playing 6th edition at the time. In a short period we managed to get quite a few participants. Kieran unfortunately had to undertake an emergency heart surgery and we spent a month away from home. My league basically crumbled as I had new priorities. The League / Campaign rules were a mixture from various sources: Mighty Empires (original GW), The General's Compendium, various White Dwarf articles, older WFB edition campaign ideas, other source books, etc. It is a map-less campaign system where both sides start with a base of 500 points and then each territory adds to your force size. Each force would start with three additional territories. I recently stumbled across my rules and although they were for 6th edition they should be easily converted to 4th. One of the key ideas was to generate a new territory before each battle and then also both sides would ante one of their territories as well. Winner would get their choice (usually) of either the losers or the newly generated terrain. As army sizes would grow and shrink at different rates of play I had a bunch of rules to try to balance the game similar to Blood Bowl or Necromunda. So we have decided to take the plunge, dust off some more armies and start a map-less campaign using these rules. The first game will be Kieran's Chaos forces led by Glok (lvl 1 Nurgle Sorcerer) vs my forces of The Empire. My original commander was to be a lvl 2 hero named Reggaan Stillsmaan, however, one of the territories I generated provided me with a lvl 3 Wizard named Lyn Sunhume. Reggaan was broken; this was his chance for glory! He considering deserting the army in retaliation but decided to hide a distance away instead. When he got back to the camp he was in for a big surprise... For the first match we decided no ante would take place only two new territories and the winner would get to choose. These were a bridge (90 additional points for your army) or a town (you can add a new lvl 2 hero or army battle standard bearer). Will the forces of Chaos overtake the humans?
