Can an ancient god from the Cthulhu Mythos be brought to life with miniature painting?
In this video, I'm painting Tsathoggua, one of the terrifying Great Old Ones from Cthulhu: Death May Die – Fear of the Unknown by CMON. From airbrushing smooth skin transitions to creating a realistic swamp diorama, I'll show every step of the process and explain the techniques I used to achieve this dark, organic look.
This miniature was primed with a black base and a Bone Wraith zenithal highlight before building the skin using Crypt Wraith, Deep Purple shadows, and carefully controlled highlights. To finish the project, I created a muddy swamp base using Swamp Diorama Effects and added glowing yellow eyes to bring Tsathoggua to life.
