In this video, I paint the BattleTech Clan Command Star from start to finish, including Dire Wolf Prime, Summoner Prime, Stormcrow A, Shadow Cat A, and Mist Lynx A.
This BattleTech painting guide focuses on color planning, metallic zenithal priming, contrast and speedpaint over a gunmetal base, cockpit glow details, controlled washes, and battlefield basing.
After painting an Atlas before, I wanted this project to feel like the next chapter in my BattleTech miniature painting journey. Before painting, I also talk a little about the BattleTech universe, the Clans, OmniMechs, and how the Prime and A configurations represent different battlefield roles rather than paint schemes.
Instead of painting all five mechs in one uniform color scheme, I gave each BattleMech its own visual character while keeping the group connected with a shared metallic base and battlefield terrain.
