Welcome back to the Game Garage! We're taking a slight detour from the woodsy realm of Root into the stressful world of Maquis, where you are part of the resistance pushing back against the Nazi occupation of WWI France.
Maquis is a single player only game that pulls no punches and provides a super compelling experience in an impressively small footprint, and in this video, I'll walk you through the ins and outs of its systems in preparation for next video's playthough(s) (we'll see how many I can fit into a reasonable length).
If you've been enjoying this channel for the Root content, fear not! I will return to the colorful world of cardboard and competition. But if you've been enjoying this channel for solid single-player board game content, stick around! We've obviously got some Maquis in the near future, but I have some of my other favorites a bit further up my sleeve... Enjoy!
I know that the game isn't the most available thing in the world (which is absolutely a shame), but for those interested, not only is there an app which is a really faithful representation of the physical game, but get on SRG's mailing list if you're interested in snagging a copy during the anticipated reprint at the end of 2020! I know! Something good in 2020!!
