Maquis (Unboxing)

All Games New and Old

Watch “Maquis (Unboxing),” a board game unboxing for Maquis from All Games New and Old on BoardGameVideo.

Description provided by All Games New and Old on YouTube:

In this video I unbox the solo worker placement game Maquis. This game caught my attention in a kind of random way, but after I saw that it was a solo worker placement game that only took about 20 minutes, I had to look into it. In the game you are playing as a member of the resistance in France, trying to undermine the Nazi control of the area. You send your workers out but if you aren't careful they could be caught by patrols on the way back to base. It sounds really great, so I can't wait to give it a try. We have a merchandise store filled with our show logos. If you like what we do, please pick something up to show your support! The store can be found here: https://all-games-new-and-old.creator-spring.com

About Maquis, from BoardGameGeek:

Engage the Nazi occupation of France in la petite guerre to throw off the yoke of the oppressors and free your homeland! Maquis is a solitaire worker-placement game with variable goals and a play time of approximately twenty minutes. The player places his resistance agents on spaces around town to achieve his goals - blowing up trains, publishing underground newspapers - but at the same time Milice collaborators and Wehrmacht soldiers patrol the area. Agents who can't make it back to the safe house at the end of the day are arrested, and never seen again.
