Halls of Hegra - One's A Crowd Ep. 1 Playthrough (Featuring Russ Wetli)

Description provided by Homo Ludens on YouTube:

This stream will mark the debut of the "One's a Crowd" series on Homo Ludens, where we embrace the solo gaming experience with a twist — we're never truly playing alone. In this series, a self-professed solo gaming skeptic, team up with kindred spirits to explore games designed for one. For our pilot episode, we're stepping into the snow-covered boots of the Norwegian volunteers holding the line at the Halls of Hegra during the desperate days of World War II. The game is a masterful blend of strategy and survival, worker placement, and bag building with a dash of area control for good measure. Joining me in this morning's campaign is Russ Wetli, the insightful mind behind "Cardboard Conflicts," a blog dedicated to the journey through the warren of war gaming. Together, we'll navigate the three pivotal stages of Halls of Hegra — from mobilizing our defenses to the harrowing siege that will test the limits of our command. As the sunlight begins to pour in through the windows, we're suited up for battle, albeit in our most comfortable pyjamas. It's a laid-back approach to serious gaming, and we invite you to pull up a chair, coffee in hand, and join us. We encourage you to actively participate, throw questions our way, and engage with us and each other as we delve into the history and tactics of Halls of Hegra. What does it take to outlast an enemy when outnumbered? How do games bridge the gap between education and entertainment? Let's find those answers together. As a special note, we ask all of you to respect our pajama policy — it's all about comfort and fun, after all. And who says you can't fend off an enemy invasion in your favorite PJs? Don't forget to check out "Cardboard Conflicts" for more from Russ and dive deeper into the world of historical gaming. We'll see you on the battlefield!
