Endeavor: Deep Sea – Uncharted Waters — my most anticipated expansion of the fair (SPIEL Essen 2026)

Description provided by Luzapalooza on YouTube:

Endeavor: Deep Sea – Uncharted Waters is the expansion for one of my all-time top 10 games, from designers Jarratt Gray and Carl de Visser — and it’s the expansion I’m most excited about at Essen this year. This is also the last video in our Essen Countdown — starting tomorrow, I’m switching to daily vlogs from the fair itself (press conference and Novelty Show first), going up every day at 8 PM CET. If you want to follow along, now’s the time to subscribe. Endeavor: Deep Sea – Uncharted Waters on BGG: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgameexpansion/446892/endeavor-deep-sea-uncharted-waters I don’t have a copy in hand yet, so this isn’t a playthrough — it’s just me explaining why the base game means so much to me and what I’m hoping this expansion adds. Endeavor: Deep Sea already nails exploration better than almost any worker-placement game I own: you start with only a sliver of the ocean revealed, and every tile you flip as you go deeper hands you a new ability that makes you excited for what’s coming next. The dual-layered boards make it effortless to track everything at the table, and I’m already a sucker for the new specialists and mini-expansions . Exploring deeper water and protecting marine wildlife are exactly what I want more of. I love it solo, I love it co-op, but competitive is where I have the most fun with it. If you haven’t tried the base game yet, it’s genuinely in my top 10 games of all time — you can find the full top 100 list Matthew Jude and I did together on the channel. What’s the one expansion you’re most excited about at Essen this year? Let us know in the comments! The Meet & Play will be at Saal Essen on Saturday, October 24th, starting at 3 PM — we’ll have a table (maybe more than one) to sit, play, say hi, and swap sweets from wherever you’re from. Here’s a link to the event with a photo showing exactly where to find the room: https://meet-and-play.de/en/about/ If this is your third video on the channel, maybe it's time to subscribe. :-) Luzapalooza on Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/Luzapalooza This Game Is Broken — the board game podcast, with Matthew Jude, Paula Debing, and the brothers Murph: This Game Is Broken: [: https://open.spotify.com/show/1GXyynkXltlLY3hGNoYtnB Follow Luzapalooza on Instagram: @luzapalooza Thanks for watching, and see you in the daily vlogs starting tomorrow!
