alion02 vs Will: Dragon Cup - Semifinals - Guest Commentator rabbitboy84

Description provided by Simmon Tak on YouTube:

This is the Semifinals of the 2023 Dragon Cup tournament! It's not surprise to see alion02 make it this far, as he's the reigning Tak Champion. Will wasn't as guaranteed, however, though our co-commentator, rabbitboy84, knows just how good of a player he is after losing to him in the Quarterfinals. Let's see if Will can cause an upset and knock alion02 out of this tournament. 0:00 Introduction 3:13 Game Start This is the 2023 Dragon Cup Tournament, a brand new tournament which is played on a 6x6 board with a 15-minute time limit for each player and a 15-second increment per turn. These are played with 2 komi, meaning 2 gets added to Black's flat count score at the end of the game if the game does not end in a road. They also get an extra 15 minutes added to their time after move 35. These are 1-game matches. This is a single-elimination tournament. In the event of a draw, the players will play a new game with swapped colors. You can even play with other people asynchronously (correspondence games) right through the Discord server! Come check out the subreddit at https://www.reddit.com/r/Tak/ I also have a Twitch channel! I'll try to be streaming while recording when possible, just not for my own games this tournament. https://www.twitch.tv/simmon_tak Check out Tak at BoardgameGeek: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/197405/tak Music at the end of the video and that is on the "Stream Starting Soon" screen on Twitch is provided by SystemGlitch. Check him out https://www.youtube.com/c/SystemGlitch I've also said it before, but I always plan to keep all the videos on this channel ad-free so there are as few barriers to entry for new Tak players as possible. You shouldn't have to sit through ads to see great Tak content, so I'll do that. I do, however, have a Patreon. If you like the content and want to encourage me to keep making it with money, that's the place to do it. I feel weird talking about it, but there are some perks to joining and you can find those out here: https://www.patreon.com/Simmon_Tak
