2022 Chandrian Invitational Tak Tournament - gowellja vs fwwwwibib

Description provided by Simmon Tak on YouTube:

In this video, we take a look at the 7x7 Chandrian Invitational Tak Tournament match between gowellja and fwwwwibib. gowellja has been putting in a lot of work against the bots in the past few months, really soaring through the playtak rankings after doing well in last year's Intermediate Invitational and in the 2021 Tak Open. fwwwwibib is the reigning Tak champion from 2020 and also won the 2021 Tak Open, so he definitely knows his way around a Tak board - though he didn't do too well in the 2021 Chandrian Invitational. 7x7 is a completely different animal to 5s and 6s. The second capstone really make a difference and changes the game dramatically. 0:00 Introduction 2:14 Game Start This is the 2022 Chandrian Invitational Tak Tournament, which is played on a 7x7 board with a 15-minute time limit for each player and a 20-second increment per turn. There is also a 2 komi, where black gets 2 added to their flat count score if the game doesn't end in a road. These are 1-game matches, so the players don't get a chance to play as each color when facing each opponent. It is a full round-robin tournament between 7 hand-picked players - some new and some returning from last year - to really showcase the potential of the 7x7 game. You shouldn't have to sit through ads to see great Tak content, so I'll do that. I do, however, have a Patreon. If you like the content and want to encourage me to keep making it with money, that's the place to do it. I feel weird talking about it, but there are some perks to joining and you can find those out here: https://www.patreon.com/Simmon_Tak
