TIPS OF THE TRADE #20: “X-FILES CCG: X-FILES POWERS (OPTIONAL RULES)” The X-Files Collectible Card Game | Mystery Games | Detective Games | Deck-Building Card Games | Customizable Card Games | Trading Card Games (TCGs) | Playtest Cards | Rare Cards | Dead CCGs | CCG Collection | Beginner Tips | TCG Strategies | Augmented Rules | Power Rules ——————————————————————————— SUMMARY Tips of the Trade is your X-Files CCG source that helps you refine your gameplay. Like many card games, The X-Files Collectible Card Game has several optional rules intended to spice up gameplay, including the X-File Powers, which add flavor and strategy to selecting a secret X-File. When undertaking these augmented mechanics, players build the Conspiracy portion of their Bureau Deck around the X-File card they choose. The various X-File Powers are found on pages 43-45 of the Advanced Rules and Procedures Manual (that comes included with each 60-card Starter Deck). This video offers specific strategies for best using the X-File Powers. Created back in 1996, The X-Files Collectible Card Game derived its mechanics from the show’s earliest seasons before going belly-up in 1997. But like the elusive Truth, the game’s cult following is still Out There.
