“THE BURKY BUNCH” (Episode #32) The X-Files Collectible Card Game (CCG) | 1996 | Advanced Gameplay | Let’s Play | Trading Card Games (TCG) | Sample Deck List Decklist | Learn How to Play | Playthrough | Dead CCGs | Deck-Building Card Games | Mystery Games | Detective Games | Customizable Card Games | TCG Playthrough | Mulder & Scully ——————————————————————————— SUMMARY Here’s the story…The Season Six matchups of The X-Files CCG continue with this charming matchup between Special Agent Stephen and Detective Dave Meyer; the latter enlists a whooping 7-man Team of Agents dubbed The Burky Bunch led by Dr. Charles Burk. Meanwhile, Agent Stephen recruits a Team headed by Agent Fox Mulder along with the infrequently used Agent Lucy Kazdin. Agent Karen Kosseff and Detective Manners occupy both Teams and certainly pull their weight. Stephen uses a Manners token early in the game to pull Witness card, Dr. Grissom, from the deck in order to generate resource points. Lucky guesses abound on both sides, but which of these contenders will be the first to solve their opponent’s hidden X-File? Created back in 1996, The X-Files Collectible Card Game derived its mechanics from the show’s earliest seasons before going belly-up in 1997. But like the elusive Truth, the game’s cult following is still Out There.
