Welcome to the first episode of my Warhammer Underworlds miniature painting series! In this video, I unbox, assemble, and paint The Farstriders, a three-model Stormcast Eternals warband led by Sanson Farstrider. The Farstriders are veteran Vanguard-Hunters from the Hammers of Sigmar. The warband includes Sanson Farstrider and his loyal star falcon Gyrfalche, alongside Almeric Eagle-Eye and Elias Swiftblade. I begin with the Warhammer Underworlds box opening and miniature preparation before using zenithal priming to establish the main light and shadow areas. From there, I build a colorful blue-and-gold Stormcast scheme using contrast paints, traditional acrylics, metallic paints, washes, drybrushing, and selective highlights. Ultramarine Blue forms the main armor color, while Retributor Armour creates the gold trim and decorative details. Blood Angels Red adds small, bold accents that break up the blue-and-gold palette. For Gyrfalche, Sanson Farstrider’s star falcon, I use Caribbean Ocean, Skeleton Horde, and lighter details to help the bird stand out without separating it from the rest of the miniature. Black Templar is used on the Boltstorm Pistols and darker equipment, while Rakarth Flesh defines the inside of the cloaks. Hardened Leather and Dark Wood create quick but readable leather, wood, and equipment details. Metal weapons and smaller mechanical areas are painted with Leadbelcher and Polished Silver. Reikland Fleshshade is applied to the armor and gold details, while Nuln Oil adds definition to the weapons and darker metallic surfaces. After the washes, I use a light Bone White drybrush and selective highlights to restore the raised details. Finally, I create matching earth-style diorama bases to bring all three members of The Farstriders together before the final showcase. This video documents my own complete hands-on miniature-painting process. The unboxing, assembly, painting, basing, filming, narration, editing, and final showcase footage were all created by me.
