Title Bout's Jim Trunzo explains the game's creation and growth, realities of a one-man game shop

Description provided by APBA Football Club on YouTube:

Board game boxing fans are no stranger to the work of the brothers Jim and Tom Trunzo, who 43 years ago launched their TItle Bout championship boxing through Avalon Hill. Interviewing with us on Sept. 13, 2021, Jim Trunzo discussed some of the game's many ups and downs through the decades — including the current economics and realities of board game conception, manufacturing, distribution and marketing (for instance, did you know that a game’s box and board can account for half its cost?). Through it all, his passion for keeping the game alive endures undiminished, as his Title Bout II attests. Here, Jim pulls no punches in discussing the best — and not so great — fighters to ever lace up gloves, but does pull back the curtain on his methodology and attention to detail in creating a playable game with fast-action cards and boxers dialed in just right to perform as they did in real life. Among the topics Jim addressed: • The four primary "data points" of Title Bout • The what-if and never-met tests that fueled the game early in its development. • Why Ali a bad defensive boxer (according to promoting legend Russel Peltz) Title Bout II: https://www.straightjabmedia.com Title Bout history: http://www.titleboutboxing.com/cgi-bin/page?game_history Ali-Marciano 1969 computer fight: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bS_Aj1RuPyo Interview conducted Sept. 13, 2021 Podcast version: https://anchor.fm/geoff-giordano/episodes/Ep-23--Boxing-game-legend-Jim-Trunzo-on-the-greatest-fighters-and-how-he-keeps-the-Title-Bout-series-alive-e17blc2
