Welcome back to One Last Hand. Today we’re continuing Time Troopers with Episode 6: Move Like Water. If you enjoyed this episode and want to watch the next episode before public release, consider becoming a YouTube Member. This is a narrative campaign playthrough, and in this episode the squad leaves the Viking section behind and jumps to Edo Japan for Mission 3.1. You can find the full Time Troopers playlist here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLiRsH-oyKFlpJgQ0xOIn8aj3vlXf4ubqc Time Troopers is a solo campaign game about travelling into the past, building a squad, managing time tokens, and trying to recover artifacts before rival factions can control the future. In this episode, the squad needs to cross the river, deal with villagers, locals, and scorpions, and reach the castle courtyard while the timeline keeps adding pressure. In this video we focus on: - Mission 3.1: Move Like Water - Starting the Edo Japan section - Stealthing the river cards - Managing villagers and local cards - Fighting scorpions and Goshi - Discovering the missing event cards from the campaign deck RULE GOOFS / HOUSE RULES A few notes for the series: - We are missing five event cards from the deck: C15 to C19. We only realise this in this episode. - From this episode onward, we add the missing cards into the deck and permanently remove Time Lapse as instructed by the mission exfil. - We add a house rule allowing us to mulligan our drawn hand if it would otherwise create a stalemate where we cannot get cards into combat, or where the squad is effectively doomed in the first round. - We add a house rule allowing attack die rerolls. If we miss, or if an enemy hits, we can spend 1 time token to reroll the attack die. - We will attempt each mission 1–3 times on video. If we still do not succeed, we will read the exfil and move on with the story. The balance in the game seems a little uneven, so this keeps the campaign moving while still showing the attempts.
