Harmonies: Crescendo — What Does It Actually Add? | Solo Playthrough

Description provided by One Last Hand on YouTube:

Welcome back to One Last Hand. Today we're playing Harmonies with the new Crescendo expansion, using all three of its modules together — Sanctuaries, Whispers and the new Personal boards. I've also kept the Pulse expansion mixed into the game, so this is a fairly loaded game of Harmonies without dramatically changing the core rules. Sanctuaries allow us to build new terrain formations that aren't normally possible and can help finish Animal cards while creating another source of end-game scoring. Whispers introduce the glittery new cubes, which can share spaces with Animals and Nature Spirits for additional points. And the new Personal boards change how the landscape itself develops. In this game we're using the side with the large blocked space in the centre, making positioning and surrounding buildings considerably tighter. This is my first proper play with Crescendo, so the aim is as much to explore the three new modules as it is to chase the best possible score. By the end, we'll see how much Crescendo actually changes Harmonies and whether adding everything together makes the game significantly more complicated.
