Time Troopers | Valhalla | Ep 4 | Narrative Campaign Playthrough

Description provided by One Last Hand on YouTube:

Welcome back to One Last Hand. **AUDIO NOTE** There is an audio issue in this episode. The audio cuts out partway through the first attempt and does not return for the rest of the playthrough. The first section of the video is left as recorded. The later section has music underneath it so you can still watch the gameplay, and we return at the end to explain the result, read the mission exfil, and set up the next episode. Today we’re continuing Time Troopers with Episode 4: Valhalla. If you enjoyed this episode and want to watch the next episode before public release, consider becoming a YouTube Member. This is a narrative campaign playthrough, and in this episode the squad continues through the Viking section of the campaign as we search for Erik Bloodaxe’s axe. You can find the full Time Troopers playlist here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLiRsH-oyKFlpJgQ0xOIn8aj3vlXf4ubqc Time Troopers is a solo campaign game about travelling into the past, building a squad, managing time tokens, and trying to recover artifacts before rival factions can control the future. In this episode, we board the Viking ship, search the local deck for the axe, deal with berserkers and raiders, and try to keep enough control of the timeline to recover the artifact. In this video we focus on: - Mission 2.2: Valhalla - Searching for Erik Bloodaxe’s axe - Fighting Viking raiders and berserkers - Managing time tokens to control the timeline - Recovering the artifact - Setting up the next mission against Erik Bloodaxe RULE GOOFS / HOUSE RULES A few notes for the series: - We are missing five event cards from the deck: C15 to C19. We only realise this in Episode 5. - We add a house rule allowing us to mulligan our drawn hand if it would otherwise create a stalemate where we cannot get cards into combat, or where the squad is effectively doomed in the first round. - We add a house rule allowing attack die rerolls. If we miss, or if an enemy hits, we can spend 1 time token to reroll the attack die. - We will attempt each mission 1–3 times on video. If we still do not succeed, we will read the exfil and move on with the story. The balance in the game seems a little uneven, so this keeps the campaign moving while still showing the attempts.
