Description provided by Tabletop Toby on YouTube:
Overview and review of the board game Boardquest: Tales of Liria (base game). This is a skirmish multiplayer game for 2 to 4 players in a fantasy universe. There's 2 short five-scenario solo campaigns as well. First an overview of how the game works and then what I like about the game and why the game might or might not be for you.
In this game, you'll become one of four factions - humans, elves, orcs, or demons - and use your hero's unique abilities along with the 3 unique units available to you to claw your way to victory, either by defeating all of the enemy heroes or by conquering the number of forts required for your player count. Monsters will get in the way...but also be an opportunity for experience, gold, and loot to allow you to become stronger. Players must pay attention to status effects from the monsters and weapons or find themselves in dire straights before they know it. Every turn can count, so plan ahead. But turns are snappy because each hero or unit can only do a limited number of actions each turn.
