Pax Penning - Teach and Play with the designer

Description provided by Homo Ludens on YouTube:

Step into the twilight of the Viking age with us on Homo Ludens for a unique livestream event: a designer teach and play session of "Pax Penning," a game that immerses players in the ambitious nation-building efforts of the first Christian king of Sweden. We are thrilled to have a remarkable lineup of guests: reviewer Dan Thurot from SpaceBiff, game designer Milda Matilda, and graphic designer David Masnato. Together, they will dive deep into the game's mechanics, strategy, and beautiful design. "Pax Penning" places you in the roles of small kings, local chieftains, and affluent peasants tasked by the king to unify and strengthen the nascent kingdom. Inspired by the king's observations of Britain's centralized power and the pivotal role of currency, this game challenges you to navigate the delicate balance between individual strength and the potential power of a united front. Marriage alliances, strategic partnerships, and political savvy will be your tools in securing a prominent place for your family in the evolving landscape of Sweden. This session is not just a playthrough; it's an opportunity to learn "Pax Penning" directly from its creators. Milda Matilda will guide us through the intricacies of gameplay and strategy, while David Masnato sheds light on the visual storytelling that enriches the game experience. Dan Thurot brings his critical eye and deep understanding of board games to the table, offering insights and engaging with the game from a reviewer's perspective. As the Viking age wanes, the world is ripe for change. Will you rise to the occasion and leave a lasting legacy in this new kingdom, or will you be left behind in the annals of history?
