Let's Play NEAR AND FAR | Game 3 | Roll to One Board Gaming

Description provided by Roll to One Gaming on YouTube:

Near and Far Board Game Playthrough We're back in the Fire Delta for one of the most thinky games on the table — Near and Far, Ryan Laukat's gorgeous adventure-and-storybook game about camping, artifacts, questing, and reading way too far into a typo on a quest card. Players draft characters, recruit townsfolk at the saloon, brave the mines, and crack open narrated story quests that branch on whether you cook the meal or chase your companion into the night. The Thinky vibe is real here: every turn is a puzzle of movement, hearts, factions, and trade routes, and we slowed down to actually think it through. This session, Andy, Adam, Jackson, and Kristen played the story/character mode (Kiku, Korin, Tennis, and Rin), with our narrator Jayden once again lending his voice to the quests. Highlights include a hero who got "drunk on diesel" thanks to a robot short circuit, a heated debate over whether the average human has fewer than two hands, Adam throwing bread at enemies like a bear at a zoo, and Jackson rolling a blazing nine movement and still not quite getting where he needed to go. Andy quietly built a real-estate empire of camps and racked up a monster 82 points to take the win — two in a row — with Adam at 66, Kristen at 57, and Jackson at 40. This is part of Roll to One Gaming Season 1. Wins count toward our Season Board, and the Top 3 players at the end of the season earn merch from the Roll to One Shop. We're nearing the finish line — this was the second-to-last map, and next time we head into the Last Ruin to close out each character's story. New Roll to One Gaming episodes drop every week.
