Is Waddle the Gateway to Rebirth? Comparing Two Gateway Board Games

Description provided by Board Game Journey on YouTube:

In this video, I compare Waddle and Rebirth, two board games that give me a very similar feeling at the table, just in very different sized boxes. Rebirth is already considered a gateway game, but I have found that Waddle is an even easier on-ramp for a lot of groups. It teaches the same type of spatial and planning instincts, just in a smaller, faster, and less intimidating format. So the question is, is Waddle the gateway before the gateway? If you are trying to introduce new players to modern board games, or you are looking for a lighter game that still feels satisfying, I think this comparison will help you decide which one fits your group better. Let me know in the comments which one you would start with, or if there is another pair of games that feel similar to you but look very different on the shelf. 📧 Business Inquiries: boardgamejourney25@gmail.com 0:00 Intro 0:22 Game 1 6:57 Game 2 13:44 Ending
