These Games Were INSTANT HITS at My Table!

Description provided by Board Game Journey on YouTube:

Some games take time to warm up… and some are instant hits. This week on Board Game Journey, I’m talking about two games that my group fell in love with literally within minutes of starting: 🐘 Botswana A clever, quick Knizia game that creates tension with almost no rules. It’s fast, tight, and every decision matters — which is why it landed immediately with my table. 💎 Trinket Trove A charming set-collection game that really shines at higher player counts. At 5–6 players it becomes an energetic, delightful mix of timing, choices, and big “aha!” moments. Everyone at my table locked in right away. In this video, I’ll explain: • What makes these games “instant hit” material • Why they work so well with different types of players • Which moments made my group immediately say, “Let’s play again!” • And whether they’ll be long-term staples in my collection If you’re looking for games that just click with new groups, this is a must-watch. #BoardGameJourney #1000gameschallenge 0:00 Intro 0:27 Game 1 5:19 Game 2 13:04 Ending
