Watch “Is Railway Boom Worth the Hype? First Impressions | Table Scraps,” a board game review for Railway Boom from Table Scraps on BoardGameVideo.
Description provided by Table Scraps on YouTube:
Railway Boom is a highly interactive train game loaded with auctions, and after my first plays, I'm genuinely impressed. In this first impressions video, I break down 5 things I love about Railway Boom and 4 concerns I'm flagging for future plays.
This is a train game that leans hard into player interaction - the auction mechanisms create constant tension and tough decisions. If you love games where you're competing with other players at every turn, Railway Boom deserves your attention.

About Railway Boom, from BoardGameGeek:
In the late 19th century, during the early Meiji era, Japan opened its first railway line between Shimbashi and Yokohama. This new mode of transportation sparked a railway boom across the country.
Local entrepreneurs, and later powerful tycoons, established new companies that grew into large railway corporations throughout the Taishō and Shōwa eras.
As players, you will take on the roles of these tycoons, building and managing your own railway empires as you compete for the most renown.
Railway Boom recreates this era of industry through gameplay by having players balance resource management with the growth of their railways connecting various cities across Japan.
