How to play Uno No Mercy Expansion Pack

Triple S Games

Triple S Games

Watch “How to play Uno No Mercy Expansion Pack,” a how-to-play guide for UNO: Show ‘em No Mercy – Expansion Pack from Triple S Games on BoardGameVideo.

Description provided by Triple S Games on YouTube:

Learn the rules to the expansion pack for the card game Uno No Mercy quickly and concisely - This video has no distractions, just the rules. For a refresher of the original rules of Uno No Mercy, check out this video: https://youtu.be/g4boAtA9p3w https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/450636/uno-show-em-no-mercy-expansion-pack RULES: The rules are the same as regular Uno No Mercy, except for these changes. At the start of the game, shuffle the 24 expansion cards into your regular uno no mercy deck. Each player receives 1 coin, which they must pick a side they will use for the game: either “mercy” or “no mercy”. You may only change your coins side in between games. Once during each game, on your turn, you may use your coin. When you do, if you have the mercy side, then discard your entire hand to the bottom of the discard pile and draw 7 cards. You are allowed to play this even if you would have been knocked out for having more than 25 cards. If you have the “no mercy” side, then you immediately double the penalty of any draw card you play. For example, a draw 10 becomes a draw 20. You can use this ability during a draw stack, but it only doubles your card, not the entire stack. The new action cards are. 10’s play again. When you play this card, immediately take another turn. Wild discard all. This is a wild. Discard all cards of a single color from your hand underneath this card, then pick the color that resumes play. Wild Reverse Draw 8. This is a wild. Reverse the direction of play and then make the next player draw 8 cards and lose their turn. Then pick the color that resumes play. Wild Final Attack. This is a wild. First reveal your hand. The next player loses their turn and must draw 1 card for each action card and wild card in your hand, number cards like 10’s play again, don’t count. If you reveal 7 or more action and/or wild cards in this way, then the next player must draw 25 cards instead and all other players must draw 5. Then you chose the color that resumes play. Wild Sudden Death. This is a wild. All players, including you, must draw cards from the draw pile in turn order until they each have 24 cards in their hand. Then. You choose the color that resumes play. The symbol in the bottom left corner is for identification purposes so you can easily remove the expansion from the core deck by looking for this symbol. The symbol at the top and bottom of each card is for colorblind players.

About UNO: Show ‘em No Mercy – Expansion Pack, from BoardGameGeek:

Fans of UNO Show 'em No Mercy game will love this expansion pack -- it includes 24 additional cards that bring extra carnage to the already brutal game, plus special coins that can either save a player or double the pain! Players just add the cards from the expansion pack into an existing deck from their collection and wait for the chaos to begin. And like always, when down to the last card, they still have to yell 'UNO!' Designed for players ages 7 years and older. Players must already have an UNO Show 'em No Mercy deck (sold separately, subject to availability); the cards and coins in the expansion pack cannot be played with on their own. Colors and decorations may vary. This UNO Show 'em No Mercy expansion pack adds some fresh, ruthless rules to your existing UNO Show 'em No Mercy deck! Simply mix in the expansion pack's 24 cards and bring carnage to the already brutal game! The expansion pack also includes special coins that can only be used once per round, so choose wisely! The Mercy Coin lets a player draw a whole new hand, and the No Mercy Coin doubles the penalty of any card played! Players must already have an UNO Show 'em No Mercy deck; the cards and coins in the expansion pack cannot be played with on their own. Includes 24 cards, 6 coins and instructions. -description from the publisher As of 2025 in the U.S., this expansion is a Wal-Mart exclusive. The card distribution is as follows: 8 #10 Cards, marked with a "Ten Replay Modifier" that lets the player who plays it immediately take another turn (similar to the "Skip Everyone" Cards, but these are considered Number Cards instead of Action Cards (see below). 8 Wild Discard All Cards; when played, you choose a color and discard all the cards you hold of that color. You then choose a color (the same color as discarded or any other color) to continue play. 4 Wild Reverse Draw Eight Cards; essentially, the same as the Wild Reverse Draw Four Cards in the base deck, but the next player in the new direction draws eight cards and loses their turn. You then choose the color that continues play. 2 Wild Final Attack Cards; when played, you reveal your hand. The next player must draw one card for each Action and Wild Card you hold and lose their turn. (This excludes the Number Cards with modifiers--0, 7 and 10.) But if you have 7 or more Action/Wild cards in your hand, the next player has to draw 25 cards, and every other player (except you) draws 5 cards. You then choose the color that continues play. 2 Wild Sudden Death Cards; when played, EVERY player (including you) draws enough cards to bring their hand to 24 cards. You then choose the color that continues play. The Mercy/No Mercy coin is taken before play and its function must be chosen before cards are dealt out, and can only be used once per deal. If you choose to use the Mercy side, you can use it whenever you want to discard your entire hand to the bottom of the Discard Pile and draw a new hand of 7 cards from the Draw Pile. (This can also be used whenever your hand is over 25 cards to avoid elimination.) If you choose the No Mercy side, whenever you play a Draw Action/Wild Card, you can play the coin to DOUBLE the Draw penalty of THAT CARD ONLY. (Example: Playing a Wild Reverse Draw Eight, then playing a No Mercy coin doubles that card's draw penalty to 16.) It does not affect any other cards in any accumulated Draw pile, and it doesn't affect the card's value when adding cards to said accumulation. (Continuing the above example, another Draw Eight or Draw Ten could be played on the card, but the coin still only affects the penalty from the originally played card. But you could NOT play a Draw Four and another No Mercy coin and consider it a Draw Eight.)
