RULES:
The object of the game is to have the most points after 4 quarters. Connect the scoreboard and place a marker on the completed quarter 0. Each player picks a scoring marker and places it on the other 0. Shuffle the deck and deal each player 7 cards. Players look at their own cards but keep them hidden from others. Taking turns, each player can discard any number of cards from their hand, facedown, to draw replacements from the deck. When all players are ready, they play the first quarter by picking 5 of their cards to play, which are all revealed simultaneously. Your remaining 2 cards remain facedown in front of you which can be saved or discarded in future quarters.
When the cards are revealed, the 4 feud cards are resolved first in this order: interception, sack, fumble. Interception allows you to take 1 faceup card from any player and add it to your faceup cards. Sack lets you take 40 yards off another player’s faceup cards. Fumble allows you to pick a player who can’t discard cards from their hand next quarter.
After feud cards are resolved, players score based on their faceup cards in play. You score a touchdown, worth 7 points, for every 100 yards you have. You score a field goal, worth 3 points, for every faceup field goal card you have. You score a safety, worth 2 points, if you sack a player who has no positive yards. Finally, if you have 3 identical yardage cards, same value and type, then you gain a bonus +100 yards.
The big play quarterback card doubles all passing yards you have in play, while the big play running back doubles all rushing yards. Big play cards can double the 100 yard bonus for its matching type when present.
Players calculate their scores and advance their markers. Move the quarter marker up by one. All revealed cards are shuffled back into the deck and the next round is played, except this time, the dealer only deals 5 cards to each player—with everyone picking up their 2 saved cards from the previous quarter.
Repeat the process until all 4 quarters are complete, then the player with the most points wins. If it is a tie, then play overtime where all cards are shuffled and 7 new ones are dealt and another quarter is played with 5 cards. Still a tie, shuffle and deal 5, repeating like a normal quarter until there is a winner.
