Watch “Electrify: Can This Revolving Engine Spark Something Special?,” a board game review for Electrify from Board Games with Rob on BoardGameVideo.
Description provided by Board Games with Rob on YouTube:
Electrify puts you at the forefront of an energy revolution in a dynamic engine-building game set in an industrializing solarpunk world. In this prototype preview, I explore how its five revolving sectors create a constantly shifting engine, how cards upgrade those sectors, and how chained activations help you produce, upgrade, and transmit energy to meet growing demand.
Electrify is designed by John D. Clair and Ian Hutchison, published by Alderac Entertainment Group (AEG), and illustrated by Javier González Cava, also known as Inkgolem.
I was privileged enough to receive a prototype copy of Electrify at Gen Con—a HUGE thanks to AEG—so I’m using this opportunity to share my thoughts on the game before its Kickstarter campaign launches in September. Since this is a prototype, components and rules may change before the final game is published.
