#APBAFootball master game rules demystified — plus, a Larry Csonka smashmouth #football modifier

Description provided by APBA Football Club on YouTube:

APBA Football's master game rules — all those two-line adjustments up or down from a run or pass result on a player's card — can be confusing, especially when having to refer back to the text-heavy instructions. We want back into the original 1980s rules and the currently available reformatted rules to extract all the pertinent line changes, defensive alignment requirements and by-the-book personnel substitutions (although we always advocate putting the best/highest-point defense on the field regardless of official nickel/dime substitution rules). Find the PDF of these two-inch by three-inch cards (same size as the play and player cards) in the files section at the APBA Football group on Facebook (or on our page), or shoot us a note at apbafootballcluboriginal@gmailcom and I'll send you the file. Or, rekey in your own app according to your aesthetic tastes. Remember, the pre-master game of APBA Football also included blitz and goal-line options for defense. We show you these as well for comparison; those options entailed four-line drops. I will definitely bring sets of these to our Canton 2023 tournament so folks not as familiar with the master rules can get a taste. * 11/21/22: Found an error on the nickel cards; the words "up" and "down" were reversed under pass and run, though the symbols pointed in the corect direction. New file uploaded to the APBA Football group page on Facebook. #APBAFootball #apbafootballclub #apbafootballhistory #tabletopfootball #tabletopsports #footballgames #footballhistory #NFL #apbafootballdemo
