Watch “APBA Pro Bowl Game: A stripped-down, one-off attempt to popularize APBA Fooball in the digital age,” a how-to-play guide on BoardGameVideo.
Description provided by APBA Football Club on YouTube:
NOTE: The charts and cards in this game DO NOT WORK with the standard game of APBA Football
The APBA Pro Bowl Game was issued at the same time as the green-box 2000 edition football game with the colorful 1999 season cards featuring team logos on them. The set, another valient attempt at expanding the appeal of APBA Football in the coming age of video and online gaming, featured:
• No points ratings for players
• Pass plays that allowed you to roll for result on either the QB or WR cards
• Highly stripped down, one-page pass or run results charts
July 7 update: After years offline, this video has inspired Jason Graham not only to pick up the game, but two copies of the game — and go the next logical step: Creating run and pass charts with A, B and C indices that will work with current card sets. The era of "speed football" might finally be upon us!
