Welcome to Fun with Boxes, Episode 303: Pillars of Fate, the brand new Board Game from publishers IV Studio, designed by Max Anderson, Zac Dixon and Austin Harrison. Join me as I open up the game for the very first time and take a close look at all the wonderful games components, in yet another stunning looking production from IV Studio. Pillars of Fate is a two-player lane battler that adds a fun twist of deduction, misdirection and different powers. It’s set in the Veiled Fate universe. To send your champions on quests, you play cards into three lanes until all lanes have three cards. Each quest has two possible outcomes: you can either gain or lose points, and these are decided by the suits of the cards you play in that lane. So, play your cards smartly to win, or even lose quests on purpose! To keep your plans a secret, use one face-down card per lane. Then, use your divine abilities when you think it’s the best time to get ahead. Only one player will come out on top after three rounds!
