*ABOUT*
Welcome to my YouTube channel dedicated to the lesser-known & forgotten board games. We are still a relatively small channel trying to build an audience who appreciates these hidden gems and forgotten games. If you want to go on this journey to discover the undiscovered, please subscribe to the channel, share our content, and consider becoming a member or giving a small donation to help us grow.
*EPISODE 16* features an old Reiner Knizia filler game called Tutankhamen. This game was originally from 1993, but my edition is the English version from 2004, published by Out of the Box Games. Tutankhamen uses a modular board and a simple movement rule where you can move as far forward as you want, but never backward. Every time you move, you collect an artifact tile which belongs to a certain set. You are trying to accumulate a majority in each set to score points and be the first to deposit all your coins into the pyramid!
Tutankhamen was recently reprinted in 2021 by 25th Century Games with the name Tutankhamun. While the box is certainly prettier, I much prefer the dusty old 2004 edition by Out of the Box Games. Toward the end of this video, I provide a comparison of both editions and explain why I like the old edition better than the fancy reprint.
