Watch “Saipan 1944 & Expansions (Avalanche Press) | First Look,” a board game unboxing for Saipan 1944: A Panzer Grenadier Game on BoardGameVideo.
Description provided by Hexed And Countered on YouTube:
In this video, we take a dive into Saipan 1944, a Panzer Grenadier series game from Avalanche Press designed by Jay Townsend. Since I opted for the "Anarchy Edition," we’ll look at the boxless (and series rules-less) components, including the scenario book and the newly improved, crisp map boards.
We also explore two major supplements: Marianas 1944, which covers the campaigns for Guam and Tinian, and Leyte 1944, MacArthur’s return to the Philippines. I'll be breaking down the counter sheets for the U.S. Marines, U.S. Army, and Japanese forces, as well as discussing some of the special rules and scenario structures unique to this island-hopping tactical series.
With June being the anniversary of the Saipan invasion, I’m planning some gameplay for this month, so stay tuned for more tactical action!
