Recon! The Far Seas | WW1 | 2-Player & Solo | VUCA Deluxe Edition | Preview

Description provided by Wayne Hansen on YouTube:

This is an unboxing and preview of the two player or solitaire war board game The Far Seas. Designed by Martin Anderson and Julius Bruncken and published by VUCA Simulations. The Far Seas is an updated version of the game originally published in 1987 in Strategy & Tactics 125. German Cruiser Operations at the Onset of World War I: At the outbreak of World War I, eight German cruisers were scattered across the globe—isolated, outnumbered, and cut off from home. What followed was a daring campaign of commerce raiding, evasion, and naval warfare that forced the British Empire to divert vast resources in pursuit. The Far Seas puts you in command of this asymmetric naval struggle. Take control of the German raiders or the Allied fleets in a tense operational-level game of hidden movement, search, and decisive engagements. German player: Plan secretly, strike where the enemy is weak, raid merchant shipping, disrupt supply lines, and attempt the long journey home. Allied player: Coordinate a superior fleet, protect trade routes, and hunt down elusive cruisers across the world’s oceans. Every decision matters—overextend, and you risk destruction; hesitate, and the enemy slips away. MULTIPLE WAYS TO PLAY Full campaign spanning nine turns of global operations Training scenarios (e.g. Coronel, Falklands) for quick entry Modular rulesets: Basic, Advanced, Optional Solo system included for complete single-player experience Support me directly!
