Description provided by Wayne Hansen on YouTube:
This is an unboxing and preview of the two player, but solitaire/solo capable war board game Wilderness: May 5-6, 1864. Designed by Mike & Grant Wylie and published by Worthington Publishing. This is part of their American Civil War (ACW) Brigade Battle Series of games.
Wilderness: May 5-6, 1864 is a Grand-Tactical level for 2 players (though you can play solitaire by playing both sides). The game is designed to be played in 2 - 10 hours depending on the scenario. The game comes with a beautiful full color hard mounted map and counters by José Ramon Faura.
Refight the first battle between the two great generals of the American Civil War - Grant and Lee. As Lee can you block Grant's juggernaut in the Wilderness sending him reeling back north of the Rapidan? As Grant can you finish Lee off now and end the war in 1864 saving thousands of lives? The decisions are yours....
Wilderness: May 5-6, 1864 has 5 scenarios counting the full 2 day battle.
This includes several half map scenarios portraying the fierce fighting separately along Orange Plank Road and Orange Turnpike on both May 5 and 6, 1864.
Volume VII in the Civil War Brigade Battle Series, Wilderness: May 5-6, 1864 comes with the latest version (1.5) of the series rules.
