Watch “Operation Typhoon (Decision Games) - First Look & Rules Overview,” a board game unboxing on BoardGameVideo.
Description provided by Hexed And Countered on YouTube:
A first look at the expanded and enhanced edition of Operation Typhoon: The German Attack on Moscow 1941 from Decision Games. This is an operational-level monster wargame originally released in 1978 by SPI. The new version has a larger map - from the BGG description:
This updated reprint of the original SPI game delivers new artwork on the maps and counters, enlarging the maps to handle the larger 5/8-inch counters. Additional markers are provided, such as optional Hedgehog defenses, to aid play. Charts and tables and rulebook have been reproduced with new layout and artwork. While the rules have been reformatted with official errata, no changes have been made to the game system. Players are getting the original SPI game in an enlarged and enhanced format.
Note that this was the first SPI game to use the variable unit strength system.

About Operation Typhoon: The German Assault on Moscow, 1941, from BoardGameGeek:
Operation Typhoon simulates German attempt to capture Moscow 1941. It uses a variation of the Panzergruppe Guderian system that eventually became the Victory in the West system (including Patton's Third Army, Operation Grenade, and Sicily).
This is a big game but is a very playable monster game and a terrific multi player game. It was the first game to use the concept of variable unit strength. Units are rated for size and morale but actual strengths (fog of war) are determined by drawing a chit randomly at the point where your unit first enters combat.
Most Soviet units are winterized (white on red) but none German units are. In Snow, non-winterized units have movement and combat halved.
2.7 miles/hex (4.0 km/hex). 1 day/turn.
Units are regiments (for the Germans) and divisions (for the Russians).
4 scenarios: three scenarios on each map (SPI)/map zone (Decision Games) - north/center/south, one campaign on all scenarios. All are 16 turns long (15 November to 30 November).
