Triple S Games

Triple S Games

Watch “How to play Trilevel,” a how-to-play guide for Trilevel from Triple S Games on BoardGameVideo.

Description provided by Triple S Games on YouTube:

Learn the rules to the board game Trilevel quickly and concisely - This video has no distractions, just the rules. Don't own the game? Buy it here: https://buy.triplesgames.com/Trilevel (As an Puzzle Master affiliate, I earn from qualifying purchases) RULES: The object of the game is to get the most points by making ascending and descending staircases of pieces. Layout the board and each player picks a color and takes the corresponding pieces. The youngest player goes first, then turns alternate. On your turn, place any one of your pieces in any empty space on the board, then your opponent goes. You are not allowed to move or remove a piece once it has been placed. Once the board is filled and there are no more available spaces, the game ends and you score points. You score 1 point for each staircase you have in every row and column on the board, diagonal staircases do not count. A staircase is three pieces of the same color, in ascending or descending size, which are all adjacent to each other in a straight line with no other piece in between. Staircases can overlap another staircase with one piece. Count up each row and column and the player with the most points, wins.

About Trilevel, from BoardGameGeek:

Game rules: The younger player starts the game. The players alternate placing a rod in one of the holes. The aim is to build different formations (e.g. stairs, blocks, pyramids). The game comes supplemented with rules only for the stairs variant: Each player tries to build stairs, or to prevent enemy stairs. An staircase is formed placing three adjacent rods of increasing length: (1 2 3: short, medium, and long rod). It is also possible to build two stairs using five rods: 12321 or 32123. Endgame and puntuation: Scoring takes place after all rods have been placed. Black rods are scored first: each row is inspected in search of black stairs, then the columns are also inspected. After the black scoring is done, white stairs are scored. The winner is the player with the most number of stairs built.
