Watch “How to improvise a tale in the TaleOrMem party game - starts with the sentence When a cop stopped me,” a how-to-play guide on BoardGameVideo.
Description provided by The Purple Owl Games on YouTube:
TaleOrMem is a storytelling party game that everyone will remember!
In each round, one player is the storyteller and creates a story using random Word Cards from a pile. While the storyteller is talking, the other players listen closely. Once the story ends, the players take turns recalling the Word Cards used in the story.
Players get points for each Word Card they remember, and the storyteller gets extra or fewer points depending on how many cards they use and how many are remembered. The more fun and creative the story is, the easier it is to remember the Word Cards!
A fast-paced and exciting game that challenges your storytelling and memory skills.
The Storyteller’s Turn:
1. Draw one Opening Phrase Card. Choose one of the two openings. This is your story’s starting sentence.
2. Flip the sand timer and begin your tale.
3. Draw Word Cards one by one and work each word into your story naturally. The goal? Use enough cards to make your story fun and memorable—aim for 7 to 10 cards before the timer runs out to earn points!
Once a card is used, place it face up in a pile next to you (each new Word Card on top of the former one).
What does the storyteller's turn look like? That’s what this video is about!
TaleOrMem is a great card game for a family game night. It is a fun card game for kids and adults and will upgrade every gathering of friends and family. It encourages listening skills, storytelling, and memory skills.
