The Purple Owl Groopic Monster's Style Card Games - A Rummy-Style Fun Family Game Night. A new and innovative mechanism for Rummy games—Instead of sets and runs, in that game, there are groups! Contents: 53 Cards, including: Monster Cards: 36 cards that contain a monster performing a specific activity (playing tennis, eating pizza…) and 2 Wild cards. Groopic Cards: 15 cards, each containing a combination of five monster activity symbols that declare which monsters/activities can be part of that group. Setup: Separate the cards into the Monster Card pile (white background) and the Groopic Card pile (black background) • Shuffle each pile • Deal each player six Monster Cards and one Groopic Card • Place the remaining cards face down in two draw piles: A Monster Cards draw pile and a Groopic Cards draw pile • Each player holds the cards they received so other players cannot see them. Gameplay: In your turn, either lay down at least one card of any type (see rules below) or draw a card from one of the two draw piles (Monster Cards or Groopic Cards) from which you choose. The cards that are laid down are arranged in groups. Each group must consist of a Groopic Card and at least 3 Monster Cards (or Wild cards) where the monster symbol matches one of the symbols in that Groopic Card. The Monster cards will be placed around the Groopic card; each Monster card will be placed near the symbol that matches the card. Only one Monster card can be placed near a specific symbol in the Groopic card. Players can rearrange existing groups by moving Monster Cards (and Wild cards) from one group to another. The only way the cards are organized on the table is in groups. Each group contains between 3 and 5 Monster Cards around the Groopic Card. There is only one rule – The Groopic Rule: GROUP ON THE TABLE MUST CONTAIN A GROOPlC CARD AND AT LEAST 3 MATCHED MONSTER CARDS. Players can lay down a new group and add Monster Cards to any group already on the table. Players can rearrange existing groups by moving Monster Cards (and Wild cards) from one group to another, as long as the Groopic rule is in place - a group contains a Groopic Card, and at least 3 matched Monster Cards.
