Hirelings + ROOTbots w/ Nichita, May '22 (Winding the Gears)

Welcome back to Winding the Gears, a sub-series of the ROOTbot Academy where I dive into the work in progress Better Bot Project, or as in this case, stuff that's created by community members outside the "official" development of the BBP. This is the long-awaited revisiting of the ROOTbot + Hireling mashup, but this time by another user Nichita. Instead of developing a new card for each promoted and demoted hireling, Nichita created a rubric by which all the hirelings' actions will be carried out using the priorities and order cards of the ROOTbots in the game. Overall, I feel like it's a more streamlined approach that at times makes the hirelings feel like an extension of the ROOTbots' ambitions rather than mini-ROOTbots themselves (which is good), though some of the end results of certain hireling sides wind up being a bit less inspired (not as good). Overall, it's way easier to print off and implement and I think it does a great job of getting all your automated Root content to the table, so check it out!
