It looks a little odd because the main deck is above the hull art, but the cannons on the deck correlate directly with what's on the hull artwork (same for HMS Detroit as well). I researched measurements of the current USS Niagara to ensure the dimensions of the ship type were approximately accurate, basing them on my 5 mast HMS Victory model. I compared LOA (length overall) and height (waterline to mainmast) to make sure the comparison was decently accurate. If anything the 2MB model is actually slightly larger than it should be based on those calculations, but it still looks pretty small next to HMS Victory. I also made sure the ship had a low freeboard, because anytime I look at a picture of the current brig Niagara, I'm struck by the extreme ratio of her sail plan compared to how much of the hull is visible.
