Rune RiteSharpen your quill and unstopper your inkwell! The altar is set and the runes are aglow with crackling power! From the designer of Evenglow, Rune Rite is a bewitching, simultaneous-play flip-and-write game in which players conjure polyominoes, brew potions, and outsmart their rivals. Conjure Your Own PolyominoesUnlike most flip-and-write games where players simply choose pre-printed shapes from revealed cards, Rune Rite features a dynamic spatial puzzle built upon a shared 3×3 card grid known as the Altar. On a player's turn, they draft a Rune card from a central display and place it onto the Altar in one of eight possible orientations. Because cards are layered physically atop one another, overlapping symbols continuously form new, evolving polyomino patterns on the Altar. Simple But CleverThe game is simultaneous play to keep table interaction high and downtime low. Once the active player places a card to construct a polyomino shape for their own scroll, all other players select a different polyomino from the same Altar grid. Every card placement permanently shifts the board state, creating a shared tactical space where each card can open up scoring paths for oneself while subtly altering options for opponents. A Li'l Help?Moonstones that show up on cards serve as "wild" Runes, extending any polyomino it touches. Potions can be brewed and consumed to loosen up restrictions or the can be saved until the end of the game for victory points. Great Solo ModeRune Rite also includes a dedicated solo mode with gameplay just as satisfying as the main game.
