Invasion: The Conquest of Kings

Invasion: The Conquest of Kings

2022

3 - 4 players
120 min
Medium weight: Teach it in one sitting

From BoardGameGeek

Invasion is a military strategy game where players manage resources, expand their kingdoms, forge alliances, and wage war against their enemies. The map is constructed by the players by placing land tiles. This means the map is different in every game of Invasion! By placing castles on the land tiles, players collect different resources, which will allow them to build roads and castles, buy soldiers, and purchase advantage cards. A player's king is their most valuable piece in the game. A king's army is more powerful, can move quicker, and can siege an enemy castle more easily. A king can only be killed when all soldiers in their army are dead, so players need to be strategic about how many soldiers they put in their king's army, and how they weaken their enemies' armies. Killing an enemy king gives that player a king's crown token, and the first player to gain two king's crown tokens wins the game. Players of Invasion will need to juggle using their king's offensive capabilities, with protecting them from their enemies. Players will siege castles, block their enemies' movement, kill their soldiers, and battle their king's army in an all out war to decide who is the most powerful kingdom in the land. -description from the publisher
