Description provided by BoardThru on YouTube:

From the pan to the fire... Hostage Negotiator by A.J. Porfirio and Van Ryder Games is a tense solo board game that puts you in the role of a skilled police negotiator during a high-stakes hostage crisis. Every decision matters as you face a dangerous hostage taker, manage escalating threat levels, and try to save innocent lives through tactical negotiation, careful planning, and a little luck. In this thematic solitaire board game, players use conversation cards, spend conversation points, roll custom dice, and respond to unexpected terror cards and pivotal events. The pressure builds fast as demands escalate, hostages are released—or harmed—and you balance risk vs reward with every tactical choice. Do you negotiate peacefully, push for surrender, or call in the sniper team when things spiral out of control? Known for its immersive theme, strong narrative solo gameplay, and excellent replayability, Hostage Negotiator blends hand management, dice mitigation, and strategic decision-making into a fast-paced tabletop experience. Each abductor profile creates a unique challenge, making every session feel like a different emergency response scenario.
