Ward TCG – 90s Cartoon-Style Animated Opening

About Ward: Trading Card Game, from BoardGameGeek:

Ward: Trading Card Game is a dice-driven fantasy trading card game that combines strategic deck-building with fast-paced, tabletop-style combat. Players summon creatures, equip them with weapons and magic, and engage in dynamic battles where attacks are resolved using six-sided dice. Designed for both casual and competitive play, Ward emphasizes direct creature combat without relying on traditional resource systems. Set in the war-torn realms of Ward, the game features a deep, evolving storyline centered around ancient cosmic powers, invading empires, and legendary champions. Through major releases such as World of the Orcs and Undead Invasion, players explore conflicts involving the Cabal, the Empire of the Damned, and the mysterious Ancient Ones who manipulate life and death through the Soul Sphere. Each expansion adds new cards, mechanics, and narrative elements to the growing universe. Gameplay focuses on building 30-card decks, managing card interactions, and adapting to changing battlefield conditions. The dice-based combat system introduces probability, momentum, and dramatic swings into every match, rewarding players who combine tactical planning with risk management. Deck construction supports thousands of possible combinations, encouraging experimentation and customization. Unlike many traditional trading card games, Ward booster packs are designed for immediate “tear and play” use. Because the game does not rely on strict card combinations or mandatory resource engines, players can purchase three booster packs, build a complete 30-card deck, and begin playing right away. This design encourages accessibility and experimentation, allowing new and casual players to enjoy full matches without requiring extensive deck optimization. Ward supports a wide range of play modes and player preferences. Players can compete in one-on-one matches, team rumbles, and organized tournaments, cooperate in solo and team-based boss raids, or progress through an RPG-style campaign mode inspired by tabletop role-playing games. Rather than forcing a single format, Ward allows players to use their cards to play their way, whether competitively, cooperatively, or casually.
