My letter to CGE and their response to it is what follows.
My letter:
I would like to start off this email with saying how utterly disappointed I am in the handling of your Lost Ruins Of Arnak Aventure Box deliveries.
I was very quick to pre-order the adventure box way back in March of this year.
Arnak is one of my girlfriend and mines favorite game so I was very eager to receive this product.
Fast forward to Gencon of this year. CGE booth has adventure boxes for sale.
What? I tell myself, surely I, as someone who pre-ordered this product thus contributing to its creation would be one of the first to receive it.
I send a message to the CGE Instagram account in reply to their message about selling the box, and no reply from them, even though it was read.
Now fast forward to this week. I'm browsing my LGS and what do I see, the adventure box, for sale. I could walk away with this product right now!
And of course, the matter that makes me the most upset, I still have not received my Adventure Box.
I am very disappointed in your handling of this situation.
I have a fledgling YouTube channel. I would of loved to get the scoop, so to speak, and show off that box early get some views, and help to help myself and CGE out. Now all I have is disappointment in your company.
With the black eye you received at Gencon, this latest stunt is only mounting evidence of your total lack of commitment towards your fans and customers.
I'm not sure what can be done to rectify this situation, but in future, I will be thinking long and hard about purchasing any product with the CGE logo on it.

Their answer:
Dear Pierre ×××××,
thank you for contacting us. We really appreciate it. We apologize for the delay in responding, but in order to find out what happened, we had to contact several colleagues. Firstly, please accept our apologies for your inconvenience I can imagine how frustrating it might be. Kindly please let me explain the situation from the production and logistics point of view.
We cannot ship to Canada from the US—you were ordering from our EU-based store, which has its separate warehouse and shipping, as noted on both of our online stores - located in the Czech Republic. In order to avoid significantly higher shipping rates and additional customs fees for our customers. The expansions were not shipped directly from Czechia one by one, but were all shipped in one container to a Canadian distributor, who is currently distributing individual shipments to Canadian customers from their warehouse. This, of course, takes longer, as container ships’ journeys across the Atlantic are slower than regular mail.
The initial plan was to have the games in Canada at the beginning of August and you were supposed to have the games at your place in mid-August (the latest). There was a delay from the side of our forwarder and then the delivery of this container got delayed again on September 2nd (a month later). We are now waiting for Universal to finish the final shipping part and you should be contacted by CanPar with the tracking details. I realise that you might get confused when you see that the expansion is available in the US but we cannot fulfil the orders from the US.
All Canadians will receive their orders in the similar timeframe. There was no quicker way to get the Adventure Chest to Canada. Even retailers should get their boxes later - after you all receive your pre-orders.
The same situation would happen if you order it now. You would not get the game immediately.
The package of games at Gencon was from US stock, we did not expect delays in packages to Canada, so if the shipment had gone according to plan, this situation would not have arisen. We sent a container carrying pre-orders from customers and quantities for stores, but the pre-orders were supposed to be shipped first. We are currently investigating what happened and why the games appeared in stores before the orders were delivered to customers.
We are truly sorry about the situation that has arisen, and we will do our best to prevent it from happening again. However, while we did make some mistakes, we would appreciate your understanding.
Have a nice day.
