Jenny Barnes
As a girl Jenny had always loved the long hot summers spent on her grandparents’ ranch just outside Beverly. She fondly remembered feeding the horses and playing in the sunshine with her sister Isabelle for hours on end. One particular summer they had met a boy who was fishing in the creek that served as the boundary between the ranch and the neighbouring farm. Hank although he was younger than both Jenny and Isabelle, was much larger as well as being more than a little clumsy. Jenny and Isabelle had liked him a lot. He was a kind, gentle soul for all his size and he was always ready to fetch and carry for his new friends. Truth be told they had taken advantage of his kindness a little as children sometimes do, realising that Hank was not exactly the brightest button. During games of Hide and Seek in the woods the girls would always have Hank be the seeker and one afternoon during a game it had begun to rain. Jenny and Isabelle, not wanting to get wet, had rudely wandered off looking for shelter without telling Hank, leaving him in the woods. They were astounded when, four hours later, Hank had appeared at the barn where they were now playing out of the storm. He was soaking wet and shivering but still beaming his big smile as he tagged them both in triumph! Hank had spent all those hours searching rather than just giving up and going home. Hank had been a true friend all those years ago and now Jenny was astounded to see Hank and his father getting onto the train at Beverly station. The very same train that she herself had boarded earlier in Boston bound for Arkham. What a coincidence! Or was it? Jenny was suddenly convinced that it was fate that had reunited them both, right here, right now. If Jenny was to find her sister Isabelle then who better to help her than Hank? The boy who hadn’t given up searching for them on that stormy summer afternoon…

About Arkham Horror, from BoardGameGeek:
The year is 1926, and it is the height of the Roaring Twenties. Flappers dance till dawn in smoke-filled speakeasies drinking alcohol supplied by rum runners and the mob. It's a celebration to end all celebrations in the aftermath of the war to end all wars.
Yet a dark shadow grows in the city of Arkham. Alien entities known as Ancient Ones lurk in the emptiness beyond space and time, writhing at the gates between worlds. These gates have begun to open and must be closed before the Ancient Ones make our world their ruined domination.
Only a handful of investigators stand against the Arkham Horror. Will they Prevail?
Arkham Horror is a cooperative adventure game themed around H.P Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos. Players choose from 16 Investigators and take to the streets of Arkham. Before the game, one of the eight Ancient Ones is chosen and it's up to the Investigators to prevent it from breaking into our world. During the course of the game, players will upgrade their characters by acquiring skills, allies, items, weapons, and spells. It's up to the players to clean out the streets of Arkham by fighting many different types of monsters, but their main goal is to close gates to other dimensions that are opening up around town. With too many gates open the Ancient One awakens and the players only have one last chance to save the world - defeat the Ancient One in combat!
