Released by Parker Brothers in 1992, The Grape Escape is a survival game for kids ages five and up. Players take control of one of four grapes, that are molded from a soft putty called Grape Goo, on their terrifying adventure through an automated jam factory. This factory is packed with traps designed to squish, squash, and slice our poor little grapes into delicious jam.
The Grape Escape only requires one die to play. With each roll, players get either a number with which they can move their character, or an action that they must take on the board. The actions are Grape Leap, which allows players to leap ahead of the lead player, and Crank which orders players to turn the crank which activates the traps on the game board. If a player’s grape is destroyed, they must re-mold a new grape and start over.
This game is a lot of fun, and the complete rules encourage a ton of squishy, smooshy game play that’s sure to delight everyone!
