The new version of the game relies on a die for player movement and bound actions to spaces on the game board. The factory mechanism that served as the central theme of the original game had also been removed in favor of more simple hand operated traps. Though the modern version of The Grape Escape is massively different from the original, it is still an enjoyable game that's perfect for kids aged five and up.
