Pitch black boards. White skeletal line art. Everything looks like a fungal cult graphic novel. And the atmosphere is incredible. You wake up in a rotting underground prison and the air itself wants you dead. The breath holding mechanic is the big hook. On your turn, you literally hold your breath while making decisions. It is tense, thematic, and immediately memorable. But it is also divisive. Some players love the panic. Others are one turn away from filing an OSHA complaint. The exploration is fun, the co op until it is not twist is juicy, and the production absolutely slaps. But the gimmick will either make the game unforgettable or unplayable depending on your group.
