They can then use the card's value to perform various actions, depending on their resources. These actions range from inspecting a card on the board to playing a spy chip, reserving sections of the board, or swapping cards around. Each action requires payment separately and cannot be cumulative so this means, like a good Spymaster, the players must be strategic with their moves. Agent cards are played for their powerful special abilities that can change the tide of the game such as skipping turns, perform multiple actions without cost, clearing the board of chips and reserve tokens, or disrupting another player's plans by stopping them in their tracks. Once a player has gathered enough information, they can initiate a Mission Run. During a mission run, the player aims to decode the code on the line, one card at a time in the correct order. Correct guesses earn them Intel Points. However, failing to guess correctly passes it on to the next player. Once a mission run concludes, the game board undergoes a reset. The Operative cards on the line, along with the 7th card set aside, are shuffled, and returned to the line. Intel points are replenished in the same manner before, but any Intel Point tokens left untouched during the mission run remain on the line, adding additional tokens to the zone's total. The game proceeds until either the Currency Deck is exhausted, or there are no more Intel Points available to replenish the board after a final mission run. Players tally their points, including both currency cards and agent cards in hand. The player with the highest point total wins!
