Watch “Terra Altera - a song of the Forgotten Realms,” a board game video for Terra Altera: a Song of the Forgotten Kingdoms from Adam Stecyk on BoardGameVideo.

Description provided by Adam Stecyk on YouTube:

Welcome to Terra Altera – A Song of the Forgotten Realms! This is a prototype of my upcoming civilization-style board game, combining worker placement, diplomacy, technology trees, wonders, events, and evolving empires. 🎲 Game Highlights: Strategic worker placement with unique ambassadors Imperial cards for diplomacy, aggression, and tactical flexibility Techs, wonders, wars, colonies, and event-driven turns Unique mix of asymmetry and shared action space tension Wars, barbarians and aggressions I’ve been developing this game for over 2 years, and it’s finally at a stage where I can share it with the world. All mechanics are about 95-98% complete. The artwork is currently AI-generated for prototyping purposes only. 💬 I’d love your feedback, thoughts, and suggestions—whether you're a designer, gamer, or just curious! 🎯 Follow the project on BoardGameGeek: 👉 https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/446188/terra-altera-a-song-of-the-forgotten-realms

About Terra Altera: a Song of the Forgotten Kingdoms, from BoardGameGeek:

In an alternate world where history took a different path, new civilizations are ready to rise. In Terra Altera, you lead your people as they build realm, discover powerful technologies, manage resources, and shape the future of the world. Starting with just a few workers and simple tech, you'll develop your realm by growing your population, gathering vital resources like energy, rock, gold, culture, and influence, and advancing through a rich technology tree. You'll build wonders, inspire your civilization with legendary leaders, and guide your people through both peaceful and turbulent times. But you won't be alone. Competing civilizations will challenge your power. Through wars, aggressions, and clever diplomacy, you'll have to defend what's yours-or take what you need. Trade routes through caravans and smart planning will help your empire grow even stronger. Terra Altera combines the strategy of worker placement with the flexible choices of imperial cards, offering new actions and diplomatic options every turn. Every decision matters, and no two games will ever be the same. The game is played on a detailed main board along with individual player boards, and is designed for 2 to 4 players. Whether you expand through culture, strength, or influence, your goal is the same: to lead your civilization to greatness in a world unlike any other. The future of Terra Altera is in your hands. Will your empire stand the test of time? This is a prototype board game. All game mechanics have been thoroughly tested and are approximately 98% complete. For now, we are using AI-generated images to help us move forward with the game design. We understand the concerns surrounding AI-generated artwork and deeply value original artistic expression. I have shared more thoughts on the use of AI in game development and its implications in a dedicated forum post. -description from the designer
